BIOGRAPHY

Zahir Alward is a Principal Data Architect with over 30 years of experience in information technology. He has worked extensively with large clients and governmental entities across Australasia. In 2016, he founded Precocity Research Ltd, a consulting firm based in New Zealand. Currently, Zahir is an Architect working with Watercare in New Zealand, where he has played a key role in developing the smart water metering solution since 2021.

At the summit, Zahir will provide insights into building a unified data model for smart metering data. He will cover topics such as integrating and standardizing data from various smart meters for compatibility with ERP systems and customer applications, harmonizing multi-source data for real-time analytics, and enhancing integration with utility management and customer-facing platforms. Additionally, he will present a case study on Watercare’s solution, showcasing the unified data model he developed, which can be adapted for use in any smart water solution.
